How’s Everyone Coping

As we enter week 6 of lockdown next week, how’s everyone coping? It’s certainly strange to say the least. Something we’ve never experienced in our life times before. And hopefully something that will not be repeated again after we do eventually come out of lockdown. How’s everyone coping with lockdown anyway? One saving grace has been the weather recently. But as we know, the weather can change so very quickly. So, make the most of the weather while we can.

How’s Everyone Coping

By now people may well have got into their own regular routine during lockdown. If anyone is looking for some lockdown suggestions, there’s a few things you can have a look HERE.

Some good suggestions and some great box sets recommended.

In addition to that, if keeping as fit as you can is on your list of things to do, then have a look at this keep fit video. It is a video of home workouts. Liverpool FC Head of Fitness, Andreas Kornmayer is the instructor. A series of apparently, ‘easy to do’ home workouts. You can cracking on these workouts by clicking HERE.

How’s Everyone Coping – What About The Players?

The players of course still need to keep themselves in shape as best as they can. Here’s a short video of a recent training session. Click the link HERE to watch. I’ve watched a few of these. Is Naby Keita’s nickname really Naby Lad?

Here’s one where Jurgen Klopp checks in on Mo Salah and Dejan Lovren. Have a look at this one HERE.

The players and management staff seem in great spirits as well. Which is good of course. Hopefully everyone reading this are in good spirits as well.

How’s Everyone Coping – Acts Of Kindness

No doubt there are many instances of acts of kindness throughout the country. Not only from the footballing fraternity, but from many walks of life.

Take Robbo for instance doing his bit for the LFC Foundation HERE. Robbo took time out to phone elderly Liverpool supporters in the local community and asked them how they were coping with social distancing.

Acts of kindness do go beyond financial assistance only. Although of course, financial assistance in the right worthy cases is so very much appreciated as well. Well done Robbo.

And of course, you may very well have seen the news about Jurgen Klopp’s wife, Ulla, handing out food vouchers to supermarket staff in Waitrose in Formby. By all accounts she did not want recognition of this. But modern day access to so many Social Media platforms of course means that not that much stays private. No matter how much you want it to.

Also you may have seen this. I received a WhatsApp message a few days ago mentioning details about a man who saw an ambulance heading towards him in Formby. The man walked to the edge of the road and clapped the ambulance past. That very same man later went into Tesco in Formby and donated £20,000 for the benefit of NHS staff. The request was that Tesco knock off £50 off NHS staff shopping bill until the £20k was used up. That man was Jurgen Klopp.

That’s the story that was sent to me.

Mind you, Jurgen Klopp’s acts of kindness and support to the people of Liverpool is well known. And it goes back to way before the coronavirus crisis started.

There was an article in the Liverpool Echo yesterday (23rd April) about how much Jurgen integrates with the local community. It goes on to mention some of his amazing gestures. You can read the article HERE.

We know we have a special football manager in charge of our club’s team affairs. We now also get to see that he is also a special person. Without a doubt we all love him, don’t we!!!

Anyway, just a quick, short post to ask the question of how’s everyone coping. Difficult times we know for all of us. More so than others. Let’s do our best to ride this nightmare out. If you need any assistance, there are plenty of online groups available for you to contact. Or, why not phone them. Or, phone a friend. I’ve found that ringing friends for a quick chat during these difficult times has helped immensely. Try it yourself.

Alternatively, or in addition, there are plenty of Liverpool forums and groups online. Pop into them and get involved with some chat. You may then think that’s no need to feel so isolated.

Importantly, stay safe everyone. Follow the rules and guidance given. And hopefully, before we know it we will be celebrating number 19.
