Jamie Carragher hails blossoming partnership of Liverpool FC strikers Luis …

Although it is very early days, Jamie Carragher may well be spot on with his assessment of the very early stages of the partnership between Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. In the short time they have played together they have seemed to dovetailed so well together. Suarez of course is such a mobile, tricky player with quick feet and the ability to beat players in all and any area of the pitch. The fact that he can now link up with another pacy, skillful, trickly player can only be great news for Liverpool and mean nightmares for Premier League defences.

There was a fair bit of criticism fired Liverpool’s way when they signed Sturridge, but as Alan Shearer said on Match Of The Day on Saturday night, some partnerships just happen without too much work required to make it work. Sturridge’s career so far has started and stopped without too much success. But maybe, the move to Liverpool is just the career move he needed and the opportunity to play alongside such a creative, skillful and clever player like Suarez could be the start of something big for him and for Liverpool.

We shouldn’t forget of course that both of these players are playing alongside another player who can also get the best out of others. A great player in his own right as well. Just imagine what it would be like to play in the same team as Steven Gerrard.

“JAMIE CARRAGHER hailed the blossoming partnership between new boy Daniel Sturridge and top scorer Luis Suarez after Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City. The veteran centre-back watched on with delight as the strike duo, who started a game …”

We just hope that the Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge grace The Fields Of Anfield Road for many, many years to come and continue the way they have started and terrorise oppostion, Premier League defences to plunder many goals along the way.

For a quick look at how Daniel Sturridge has already settled into life at The Fields Of Anfield Road, and how he sees his move to Liverpool, check out this short video.
