Liverpool Team From Different Countries

Hello folks, everything seems a bit grim at the moment doesn’t it. Hopefully, this dreadful situation will not last too long. In the meantime however, how is everyone coping? Our last game against Atletico seems ages ago now. We all have a degree in hindsight, but I’m wishing now that it was postponed on the night. Not to be though. A pal of mine messaged me yesterday though with an interesting poser. Play it yourselves. It will at least while away some hours. What is it? Choose a Liverpool team from different countries.

A Liverpool Team From Different Countries

Just to clarify, pick a one to eleven Liverpool select XI whereby every player is from a different country. It’s a bit of a laugh and, as I say, it will hopefully use up some of the many hours we all have on our hands at the moment.

The question was originally asked in that way. In other words, quite simply a Liverpool team from different countries. But as we swapped messages we added our own spin. For instance, a best XI. Or what about a worst XI?

One option that we didn’t try was something like a European XI only. You couldn’t do a South American countries only XI, but what about a Rest Of The World (other than Europe) XI?

I’m even wondering if you could even go along the lines of something like a Jurgen Klopp XI from different countries to, say a Brendan Rodgers XI? Or any manager for that matter. I’ll make a not so bold prediction here. If there could be a manager specific Liverpool team from different countries then I would suggest that (arguably?) a Graeme Souness one would be weaker than the others. Or would it? You decide? You may think a Roy Hodgson XI would be weaker?

Give it a go. I won’t spoil it – or help you along – by showing you our own selections. That would be cheating on the one hand and take away the fun (and the hours) from your own thought process.
