Honours even and as the article says, a draw probably a fair result. Everton of course had a hotly disputed goal disallowed but there again, Luis Suarez had a perfectly legitimate goal chalked off in the reverse fixture. So, all in all, two draws, two fair results.
The result however was of no use to either side really. Both Everton and Liverpool will now struggle to get into Europe, although there is the possibility that Liverpool may sneak into the Europa Cup by courtesy of the Fair Play route.
The 220th Merseyside derby was a final Derby Day send off for Jamie Carragher. Just a shame we couldn’t send him off into retirement with a win.

Two games left, we may as well play some of the youngsters to see how they fare. No doubt the summer will bring with it loads of transfer speculation and rumours. Let’s hope we sign well in the summer and that we can mount a real challenge for top four next season.
