Rodgers keen on former Chelsea striker

The future of Liverpool target Fabio Borini has been plunged into further doubt as the player’s co-owning clubs, Parma and Roma, appear unlikely to reach an agreement on the player’s ownership.

Borini joined Parma from Chelsea last July, before being sent out on loan to Roma the following month.

The capital city club, impressed by Borini’s displays during the first half of the season, paid Parma £1.8m in January to secure half of his ownership rights.
