Everton FC boss David Moyes says sharing a ground with Liverpool …

I think somebody should put this old chestnut to bed once and for all. If it is a possibility then I would have thought someone from Liverpool FC would have said something by now. It seems that the only comments most recently about the subject have come from Everton. They have previously commented on how good of an idea it would be and there are many who would agree. But, as David Moyes says, it is unlikely that Liverpool would be open to the suggestion. Apart from saying how good of an idea it would be it would be interesting to hear from somebody at Everton how they think it would work, and more specifically, how the new stadium would be funded. Do Everton really have the money to build a new stadium?

"DAVID MOYES believes a shared stadium with Liverpool FC 'makes sense' – but admits the Reds are unlikely to go for the idea."

To many Liverpool fans the thought of moving from Anfield is a total "no-no" and the thought of sharing with Everton beggars belief to many Reds. Could Liverpool ever recreate the unique atmosphere and tradition of Anfield, and in particular The Kop, if they ever moved? Let's remind ourselves of what The Kop is all about. I was on The Kop on that day on 30th April 1994. The game itself was awful and Norwich didn't read the script by winning 1-0. But the main event, saying farewell to the standing Kop, was incredible. I particularly remember when King Kenny came out – the roof nearly came off.
